Step 1: Request your ballot
- Choose from two options.
- May submit application for 2026 elections beginning on Jan 1, 2026
- BOE must receive by Apr 28
Step 2: Return your voted ballot to Geauga Board of Elections, 12611 Ravenwood Dr., Suite 004, Chardon, OH 44024
- Non-UOCAVA* ballots - by May 5, 7:30 p.m.
- UOCAVA* ballots - by May 9
- Return in person, by mail or by using the Geauga BOE's secure, monitored ballot box located near the entrance of the Geauga County Office Bldg.
* Uniformed & Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act
Required ID: one of three options:
- Ohio driver's license number or state ID card number
- Last four digits of their Social Security Number ("SSN")
- Photocopy of the voter's photo identification
